The Macintosh Display Cards 4•8 and 8•24 raise the base set of Macintosh capabilities to a higher level.

The increased color (16.7 million) and grayscale (256 grays) capability of the Display Card 8•24 provides more lifelike images.  This allows increased color capability in applications such as presentation graphics and imaging.

The increased capability of the 8•24 card can display photo-quality color and black and white graphic displays in the 24-bit mode.
